Training Tip Tuesday - Leg Pressure
Training tips for horses and riders:
When applying pressure on the left side of the horse to turn right, be SURE to release the pressure on the right side of the horse. Make the right side feel like your leg is a rolled up wet towel. This is the “when you close the left door, be sure to open the right door” theory. I prefer to not open the door in any manner that stiffens my leg and twists my body out of balance, just relax your leg and take all pressure away from the side of the horse. And of course, vice/versa for right to left!
