Barn Update

We have weathered this storm as well as one could hope! The horses are eating more hay than you could imagine and our store of good hay is abundant. Our water has been available enough to ensure their needs. The RANCH HANDS, EDDIE, MIGUEL, KELLY AND DOUG HAVE ALL GONE ABOVE AND BEYOND! The horses look great. Now I must share that I booked a last minute trip to Florida to do some horse business. I expected to be home last Sunday. Much to my dismay the flight was canceled and the airport closed for days. Bad Weather Update Notice

THE WEATHER PEOPLE WERE RIGHT!!! PLEASE STAY OFF HAMILTON POOL ROAD!! This morning it was a parking lot of stranded vehicles. Our road has been treacherous since last night. Our ranch hands have made it to work and horses are fine but the roadways are slick. Please don't drive to theĀ barnĀ until the road crews can make it safe. We have all details worked out for the care of the horses. I must extend the lesson cancellations until Thursday. LET'S GET READY AND PLAN FOR THIS EPIC WEATHER EVENT! All horses are fine! On these wintery days I like to remind all horse lovers that our horses are well cared for. I encourage everyone to research the information about how horses manage inclement weather. It's really interesting how their coats and increased body temperature can make theses days bearable. We have put out triple the amount of hay and have put it in the lower pasture under the trees where it is a great shelter. The ability to forage and increase calories is part of the plan. Horse Show Season Info

It's horse show season coming up and time to plan. Schooling Shows are shows that are not sanctioned by a national organization like USEF. This year we will have 4 schooling shows in Dripping Springs and 2 at Bee Cave Riding Center. We're sorry to report that the San Antonio shows that we attended in the past are not taking place this year.
