Dripping Springs Show & Weather Guide

Good Morning, The rain is upon us! These are the guidelines for inclement weather plans. The only time the barn will be completely closed/cancelled is if the weather conditions make it unsafe to travel. Examples would be torrential rains with flash flooding, wind speeds greater than 40 miles per hour sustained, or temperatures less than 32 degrees with rain. Otherwise we will ride in the rain if we don't have a lightening threat and we have warm temps. Our arena is an all weather footing and we adjust jumping goals to preserve the good footing. Anytime the weather makes sense...

School Schedule Etc.

I'm needing to share that the covered arena is delayed by 2-3 months. The reason is that we will kindly delay our construction to expedite permitting for the expansion of the house on our property. That means we will save our scheduled closing for the dates of the arena construction and that will be determined in the very near future. Moving forward.... Lessons will continue as is until the start of school which seems to be near August 17th for most districts. We will continue the early ride...

Barn Closure Info, Upcoming Shows, Etc

Good morning, I was hoping to inform everyone on the exact closing of our next scheduled break. Usually it coincides with the start of school, taking the first week off to give the kids a chance to settle in with routines. It's looking like the closure will take place on or near the 10th of August. I apologize for the uncertainty of the exact dates. Due to safety we will restrict...

Camp Information - Mask Requirement

Happy 4th of July, A quick note as I return from Michigan. We are having camp, with a few more Travis County requirements. All indoor activities will require masks. The art school will be monitored closely and I will provide masks for anyone who doesn't have their own. Please consider bringing your own and sending one for your child. My experience is, they wear their own more comfortably. Masks are required outdoors if we can't maintain 6 feet apart for social distancing. So, I will be carrying masks to ensure all staff and campers are complying with this Travis County...

Santa Fe Show & More

It's show time!! I met with the Dripping Springs Arena management today and I was impressed with their policies in place for a gathering of this kind. They are disinfecting all the touchable surfaces frequently, the bathrooms are on a strict cleaning schedule and they are giving us the large room with A/C for ample social distancing. The horse show office will be in this large space to minimize the close contact. They ask that we comply with the following requests. Only exhibitors, one parent/guardian, coaches and stable staff may be in the stall and arena area. To be in...
